ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry is actively working on a plan to declare former military ruler Pervez Musharraf's Chak Shahzad residence a sub jail and put him under house arrest.
According to private TV channel reports Interior Ministry sources are actively working on a plan to declare former military ruler Pervez Musharraf's Chak Shahzad residence a sub jail and put him under house arrest.
Sources said there were serious threats to Musharraf's life should he be sent behind bars.
Highly placed sources said caretaker government has been approached by influential quarters to finalize strategy and declare Chak Shahzad's residence as Sub Jail, the channel reported.
Meanwhile authorities on Thursday have blocked all access points leading to the residence of former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf following orders by the Islamabad High Court to arrest the ex-military ruler.
Sources said that area around Musharraf's farm house in Chak Shahzed in the outskirts of capital Islamabad has been completely sealed.
