 Khi CCPO appointed as DG FIA



KARACHI: The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi, Waseem Ahmed has been appointed Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). A notification in this regard has been issued.
Waseem Ahmed took charge as CCPO Karachi in June 2008. According to the sources, in view of increasing target killing incidents in Karachi Waseem Ahmed has been removed and appointed as DG FIA. On the other hand, Director General FIA Zafarullah Khan has been appointed as Chairman National Counterterrorism Authority. According to media reports, the names of Wajid Durrani, Mushtaq Shah, Zafar Farooqui, Fayyaz Leghari and Captain Falak Khursheed are under consideration for Karachi's new CCPO. -APP
