AJK govt, people support Nawaz's Kashmir policy

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Farooq Haider on Monday said that the government and the people of Azad Kashmir fully support Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Kashmir policy.
Talking to media in Islamabad, he said, "Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has effectively highlighted the Kashmir issue on the international forums.
Raja Farooq Haider said his government thanks Nawaz Sharif for doubling our budget. He urged all the political parties of Pakistan to join forces on the issue of Kashmir. He said, "Now the time has come when the longstanding issue of Kashmir should be raised at the UN Security Council."
The AJK Prime Minister said he respects all the institutions of Pakistan but there should be no impression that any kind of discrimination is being done with PM Nawaz Sharif.
He said, "Political parties should wait for the 2018 elections and refrain from creating chaos in the country. There should be peaceful transition of power to strengthen democracy in the country. The people of Kashmir will fully support Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) in next general elections."
Raja Farooq Haider said, "India wanted to escalate situation on the Line of Control by targeting civilian population there. India wants displacement of over half million population living along the Line of Control (LoC), but valiant forces of Pakistan are effectively foiling enemy's bid. The AJK Government will not leave any stone unturned to mitigate sufferings of the people living on LoC."
To a question, he said, "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will bring progress and prosperity to the entire region." - NNI
