Tokyo rubber slips on lower oil

BANGKOK: Tokyo rubber futures slipped lower on Tuesday, tracking weaker oil prices, while a slightly higher yen also weighed on sentiment, dealers said. The benchmark rubber contract on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange for August delivery fell 2.2 yen to settle at 295.1 yen ($3.27) per kg.
TOCOM prices were expected to rebound on Wednesday, with the 290 yen level seen as a strong support. Falling supply in the physical market should help prices, dealers said. -Reuters
