PESHAWAR: Governor NWFP Owais Ahmed Ghani appreciated the spirit and cooperation of the elected representatives of tribal agencies for ensuring provision of better educational facilities in the institutions of their respective areas. While talking a joint delegation of elected representatives of Kohat, Hangu, Kurram and Orakzai agencies who called on him here recently, the Governor highlighted the importance of higher education and the efforts underway for making it accessible to the people of every area. The delegation raised its concerns regarding kidnapping of Vice Chancellor of Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST) Prof Dr Lutfullah Kakakhel. They also apprised the Governor about the future needs with regard to promotion of higher education in Kohat as well as the tribal agencies situated in its surrounding areas. Owais Ahmed Ghani on the occasion appreciated the courageous and responsive role of the faculty and students of KUST in ensuring congenial educational atmosphere in their institutions despite many hardships and assured his fullest cooperation in making implementation possible on further development plans. Governor also assured his fullest cooperation for ensuring safe and early recovery of Prof Dr Lutfullah Kakakhel. -APP
