30,000 workers’ children getting free edu in Punjab’

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resources Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna has said that the government is providing educational facilities to more than 30,000 worker's children in 38 worker's welfare schools along with books, stationary, uniform and transportation facilities free of cost. Talking to a delegation of workers, the minister said that workers should avail benefits from these facilities.
He said that education is the key to progress and prosperity, which could eliminate poverty and illiteracy from the society. He said that special seats for worker's children are being reserved in the educational institutions and scholarships would be given to the talented students. He said that on going educational campaign will continue to create awareness among the workers regarding the importance of education.-Online
