KARACHI: Diabetes and high blood pressure usually contribute to the onset of chronic kidney disease, which if undetected, could lead to kidney failure. Aga Khan University will commemorate World Kidney Day (WKD) today, March 11, 2010 focusing on this year's global theme, 'Protect Your Kidney, Control Diabetes'. The WKD programme, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, will include lectures by specialists on tight diabetic control in kidney disease; high blood pressure and kidney disease; chronic kidney disease and diabetic kidney disease; kidney stone disease; and kidney disease in children.-PR |
