Germany to boost Pakistan textiles

KARACHI: Germany being the longlasting friend of Pakistan like before further accelerates the capacity building of Pakistani Textile Sector by imparting the latest skills and training. These remarks were made by the Consul General of Federal Republic of Germany, Dr Christian Brecht while addressing the reception given by him and his spouse in the honour of the visiting Director Training & Development Centres of the Bavarian Employer's Association (bfz GMBH) Werner Lindig, at the consulate on Monday.
On this occasion Werner Lindig said that we need to self-finance the process of latest textile training techniques while the next customers will be from the private companies.
He said that in 2009 his institutions imparted training to the textile sector across the world with the budget of $480 million which has now been enhanced in 2010 up to $500 million and said that the training process so far met with great success.
In the reception, at the backdrop of classical Pakistani music, Chief Executive Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Syed Mohibullah shah, Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Investment Mohammed Zubair Motiwalla, President India Pakistan Chamber of commerce and Industry S M Muneer, Chairman Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Razzak Hashim Paracha, Chairman Site Association of Industry Saleem Parekh, Coordinator Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association Jawed Bilwani, Patron in Chief Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry Feroze Alam Lari, Syed Usman Ali, Barrister Shahida Jamil, Central Chairman PHMA Muhammed Mushtaq and large number of business leaders and elites of city were also present.
