ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Sports has appreciated the recommendations of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) inquiry committee for imposing fine on Shoaib Malik and Rana Naveed-ul-Hassan. Chairman NA Standing Committee on Sports, Jamshed Dasti has said that the humiliating defeat of Pakistani Cricket Team against Australia disappointed the entire nation and the nation wanted action against players displayed poor performance. He said that the NA Standing Committee has sought recommendations of PCB Inquiry Committee and the decision of the committee has enhanced the morale of the nation. Jamshed Dasti requested to the officials of PCB to take strict decisions for bringing improvement in cricket affairs and to create discipline among players. He also urged PCB to not to include players in the team who defamed the country in the world. Dasti while welcoming the recommendations of PCB inquiry committee to impose ban and fine on players said that the only accountability could bring improvement in cricket affairs. He said that the national players do not play for the nation despite taking huge money and strict action should be taken against those players who violated the discipline and instead of perform try to create grouping. -Online
