KARACHI: Chairman Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) and the Head of all Committees of Educational Boards in Sindh Prof Anwar Ahmed Zai clarified that no decision of 20 per cent raise in examination fees in all educational broads of the province was taken in the committee meeting held on Friday.
In a press release issued on Saturday, he said the emergency press conference was called for consultation to give final touch to summer camp arrangements for position holders of all educational boards of the country, being organised in Hyderabad. He said though the matter of fees raised by Sindh Board of Technical Education was also pondered in the meeting; however, it was decided that as all boards have their own board of governors, so they have right to increase fees and it is not in the hand of chairman committee. -PPI
