ISLAMABAD: The US embassy while rejecting a report published in an English newspaper on Saturday said the US does not use "frequency jammers" or any other communications equipment that could have caused aircraft communications or navigational failure. In a press release issued here on Saturday, the officials of the embassy said that the embassy was not contacted regarding this news item. "Had the writer contacted the Embassy, he would have learned that the United States does not use "frequency jammers" or any other communications equipment that could have caused aircraft communications or navigational failure," they said. His false and unsubstantiated reporting, after the loss of so many lives, including two Americans, is hurtful to those who lost friends and families in the crash, it said. "Our Spokesperson is available to respond to all reporters' questions concerning the US Mission and its activities at any time," the embassy said. -NNI
