Five-day 8th Girls Throwball begins

KARACHI: The five-day 8th Girls Throwball Tournament 2017 organised by Sindh Throwball Association opened here at City School PAF Chapter Karachi, Tuesday, says a Press release.
As many as 72 teams like Sub-Junior U-14, Junior U-17 and Senior Above-17 categories from schools, colleges and universities are participating in this mega event. 
The following matches were played on the opening day:
Sub Junior-14 - Pool-A & B: City School DK Campus beat MSB School, 2-0 Sets; Aga Khan Kharadar beat Wajha Hussain System, 2-0 Sets.
Junior U-17 - Pool-A & B: CJM Black beat Badri School, 2-0 Sets; MSB School beat Happy Place School, 2-0 Sets; Aga Khan Garden beat Badri School, 2-0 Sets; SMS Aga Khan Kareemabad beat Karachi Cambridge School 2-0 Sets.
Senior Above-17 - Pool-A & B: Cedar College beat Nixor College, 2-0 Sets; City PAF beat MSB School, 2-0 Sets; NTA beat Head Start School System, 2-0 Sets.
Simon Glasson, Principal, City School PAF Chapter was the chief guest at the opening ceremony. In his address on the occasion he welcomed to all the participating teams and thanked the PTF for inviting him as the chief guest. 
Maqbool Arain Secretary General Asian &  Pakistan Throwball Federation, Mudassar Arain President PNF, Riaz Coodinator City School PAF, City School Management and Sports Association Secretary and Presidents graced the opening ceremony with their presence.
