 President, PM mull Waqar as finmin



ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani have completed their consultations with respect to appointment of new finance minister and the job is likely to fall in the lap of Federal Minister for Privatisation, Senator Waqar Ahmad Khan. Final decision in this regard is expected anytime.
Sources told Online here Tuesday that the President and the PM failed to reach consensus on the names of Hafeez Pasha, Makhdoom Shahabuddin and Nasim Beg. However, after the meeting of Waqar Ahmad Khan with the President and the Prime Minister, it is expected that the portfolio would be assigned to Senator Waqar.-Online
