MPOC to donate Rs340mnSep 09, 2010 KARACHI: Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) has shown its intension to donate Rs340 million (USD 400,000) to Pakistan to provide palm based food items to the flood affectees of Pakistan. In a letter addressed to the Pakistan High Commissioner, Masood Khalid, the Chief Executive Officer of MPOC, Tan Sri Datuk Dr Yusof Basiron said that Malaysian Palm Oil Industry which was the oldest and most consistent source of supply of Palm Oil to Pakistan meeting about 66 per cent of its oil requirement was happy to come forward to help the flood affectees in Pakistan. ... |

UNHCR ups shelter suppliesSep 09, 2010 ISLAMABAD: The UN refugee agency has issued shelter supplies to more than 90,000 families as the agency works to meet the needs of people left homeless amidst Pakistan's on-going monsoon-flooding.
