AGHAM KOT: Sindh Minister for Auqaf, Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Sheerazi will visit the shrine of Masooma-e-Sindh, Syeda Khadija Bibi Maham (SA), daughter of Imam Musa Kazim (AS), at Agham Kot on Tuesday, October 27, where he will review the final stages of construction, restoration and development work being carried out under the supervision of the Sindh Auqaf Department. The minister and his delegation will be received by members of the Zaireen Khidmat Committee Roza-e-Masooma-e-Sindh, the Mazhabi Amoor Committee of the Auqaf Department for Roza-e-Masooma-e-Sindh, and the Karachi Editors Club. He will be given a detailed briefing on the shrine's development, preservation of its historical heritage and facilities being provided to devotees. A major feature of the occasion will be the relocation of the ancient, historic and sacred gravestone presently installed at the grave of Syeda Khadija Bibi Maham (SA) in the Sardab of Roza-e-Masooma-e-Sindh. The historic gravestone bears inscriptions recording the date and time of her martyrdom as well as the year 170 Hijri. The sacred and rare historical gravestone will be carefully shifted from the grave in the Sardab to the upper portion of Roza-e-Masooma-e-Sindh, where it will be installed at the "Ziaratgah-e-Aam" so that the general public and devotees may also have the opportunity to perform Ziarat of this sacred historical relic. Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Sheerazi will formally perform the installation of the gravestone. During the visit, the Auqaf Minister will also launch a plantation drive by planting a commemorative sapling. In recognition of his services towards the construction, restoration and preservation of the religious and historical heritage of Roza-e-Masooma-e-Sindh, the minister will be presented with an honorary shield, traditional Sindhi Ajrak and other commemorative souvenirs. A special luncheon has also been arranged in his honour. Organisers said the relocation of the historic gravestone to the Ziaratgah-e-Aam would mark an important milestone in the shrine's development project and would enable the general public to view and perform Ziarat of this rare, sacred and historic relic.
